Arthur Conan Doyle's letters reflect a friendly relationship with Morley Roberts, and that he read Roberts's works. Two letters make reference to Roberts's novel Son of empire; and one concerns his book on W. H. Hudson. The latter letter, and another, both apparently dating from 1924, include references to spiritualism and psychic phenomena. One letter (dated 5 April, evidently, of 1921) concerns the death of E. W. Hornung.
